Dr. Ribey has been a member of the veterinary profession since her graduation from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1993. She joined the Port Elgin Veterinary Clinic team in 2015. Dr. Ribey enjoys the variety of cases that working in a general practice provides. Everything from the new puppy and kitten visits, to the medicine cases and helping to keep senior pets enjoying a great quality of life. General surgery and dental surgery provide even more fun challenges in her veterinary career.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ribey keeps busy on their large beef and cash crop farm. Calving cows, breeding cows and herd health keep her out of trouble (or get her into trouble) on her days off. Busy as this may sound, there is nothing more satisfying than a drive through the pastures watching baby calves running in the grass. And of course, the black lab and border collie along for the ride!
Life on the farm also allows Dr. Ribey to spend lots of time with her family. Her husband Bruce and 3 grown kids, Bryce, Kent and Taylor, all play active roles in the farm. There is never a dull moment in the Ribey household.
