Dr. Katherine Mullin always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Even as a child, caring for animals was her passion. Her dream came true in 2006 when she graduated with a degree in veterinary medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College. She joined the team at the Port Elgin Veterinary Clinic in September, 2011 after working for 5 years at Kincardine Veterinary Services. She loved PEVC so much that she has made it her second home since then. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, emergency medicine and pain management. Although she loves all animals, senior pets are her favourite! She participates in continuing education at seminars and conferences across North America. She loves to volunteer and is currently President of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Mullin has a keen interest in sports. For the past 30 years she played competitive fastpitch, winning several Provincial and Canadian championships over her career. In 2015 she won Top Pitcher in Ontario at the intermediate Tier 1 level. She is now officially retired from playing but is enjoying coaching the younger generation! Dr. Mullin loves to be active - she survives the winter by travelling, swimming competitively and cross-country skiing. ln the summer she loves hiking, cycling and being on or in the water! She also enjoys a nice glass of wine, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Dr. Mullin lives in Saugeen shores with her husband. They share their home with the best pets ever; Chuck, their yellow lab; Jake, their German Shepherd as well as Dexter and Tiger, their two senior Bengals. They will always cherish the memories, joy and love shared with their pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge; Anikin, Arwin, Bandit and Ladainian.
