Dr. Katherine Mullin
Dr. Katherine Mullin always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Even as a child, caring for animals was her passion. Her dream came true in 2006 when she graduated with a degree in veterinary medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College . She joined the team at the Port Elgin Veterinary Clinic in September, 2011 and loved it so much that she purchased the practice in 2015. Her special interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, emergency medicine and pain management. Although she loves all animals, senior pets are her favourite! She participates in continuing education at seminars and conferences across North America and she is a board member of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association, as well as an executive member of the Grey Bruce Veterinary Association.
Dr. Mullin has a keen interest in sports. For the past 10 years she has been a member of the Chepstow Diamonds, a successful provincial women's fast pitch team; winner of a Provincial and Canadian championship. Dr. Mullin loves to be outdoors - either hiking, swimming, stand up paddleboarding or cycling. She also enjoys traveling, a nice glass of wine, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Dr. Mullin lives in Port Elgin with her wonderful husband, Greg Thede. They share their home with the best pets ever: Arwin, their Yorkshire Terrier; Bandit, their German shepherd; Ladainian, their Miniature Schnauzer and Dexter and Tiger, their two Bengal cats.
